EUROPEAN MEDIA ART FESTIVAL

// DOCUMENT // CALL FOR ENTRIES
Under the motto 'document', EMAF 2005 will shed light upon
artistic work as the document of a creative process. The more
digitised the images become, the more discussions concerning
their authenticity and perception are once again provoked.
The festival tracks down new approaches and innovative ideas,
thus documenting its status as one of the most important forums
for current media art.

// CINEMA
Experimental shorts and feature films, music videos, new forms of
narration and documentation, retrospectives and special programmes.

// EXHIBITION
Current video and computer installations, new nonlinear oeuvres and
innovative network projects from 20 April to 15 May 2005 at the
Kunsthalle Dominikanerkirche.

// PERFORMANCE
Multimedia performances, veejaying, and current concepts of
expanded cinema.

// CONGRESS
Expert speakers, curators and artists present their stances towards
current media art in theoretical discourses, using practical examples.

// INTERNATIONAL STUDENT FORUM
New tendencies and developments from the labs of European
media-institutions of higher education, as well as training concepts
and projects.
